Overview
Ketty is a lecture in Strategic Management at the University of Hertfordshire Business School. Prior to joining the school’s Strategic Management Group, Ketty completed her PhD at the Open University. She also holds Masters in Research in Management and Business from the same University, PGD in Business Management form NCC Education (UK), and MSc in Web Computing from Liverpool John Moors University Ketty’s first degree was BSc (Hons, First Class) in Civil Law from Georgian Open Humanitarian University (Georgia).
Beside to her academic career, Ketty worked in a number of private and public sector organisations as Marketing coordinator at the Skills4STEM Consultancy (UK), Customer advisor at the Royal Bank of Scotland (UK) and Junior Legal advisor at the Georgian Customer Union (Georgia).
Research interests
Ketty’s research interest and expertise are in the broad area of Strategic Management with a particular interest in Big Data and required Resources and Capabilities/ Dynamic Capabilities as well as Strategic Management and required Organisational/ Cultural Change.
In her PhD work, ‘Capabilities for Big Data: An Empirical Study in the Global Pharmaceutical Company’ Ketty focused on how the Big Data initiatives are approached in practice. In particular, how global organisations approach the opportunity of using Big Data strategically and how they develop their capabilities for this new resource.
