Overview

Katie Newby is Associate Professor in Health Behaviour Change at the University of Hertfordshire. Her research focus is on the development and evaluation of health behaviour change interventions, particularly methods of development, specification of Behaviour Change Techniques (BCTs), and identifying routes of action. She specialises in research on digital interventions/methods, risk appraisal, sexual behaviour and vaccination uptake. She has published over 30 papers in psychology, medical and public health journals and has a strong track record of obtaining funding, including for example, from the Medical Research Council, the National Institute for Health Research, and Cancer Research UK.
