Overview
Danielle is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire with special interests in neurology, paediatrics, research and outcome measures. She completed her undergraduate BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool in 2004, and recently completed her MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy Paediatrics at University College London. Prior to joining the University of Hertfordshire Danielle was the lead Research Physiotherapist on the national project SMA REACH UK, working to improve standards of care and outcome measures for children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This resulted in the development of the Revised Hammersmith Scale, a functional outcome measure testing the physical abilities of children and adults with SMA types 2 and 3. Danielle maintains an active research profile as an Honorary Researcher at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, London, for the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre working on national and international projects.
